About

Hi, I’m Michael, the photographer and creative mind behind OpticalMD.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, I’ve spent the past 9 years exploring and photographing Boston’s skyline, streets, and hidden corners. From the historic architecture of Beacon Hill to the modern glow of the Seaport, my goal is to reveal the stories, emotions, and energy that make this city one of a kind.

Before pursuing photography full-time, I proudly served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. That experience instilled in me a sense of discipline, patience, and purpose; qualities that now help guide every frame I capture. When I returned home, I picked up my camera with a mission: to tell Boston’s story through an honest, creative lens that reflects both its history and its heartbeat.

Today, you’ll often find me out in the field with my Fuji X100VI or Sony A7RV, chasing light and emotion. From fog drifting over the Zakim Bridge to golden sunsets in the Public Garden, my work focuses on cityscape photography, street photography, and visual storytelling that connects people to the places they love.

Photography, for me, is more than a profession…it’s a way to connect with my community and preserve moments that matter.

Whether you’re looking for Boston cityscape prints, a custom photography session, or a collaboration rooted in creativity and authenticity, I’d love to work with you.

Let’s capture the extraordinary together.
