Hey, I’m Michael. I’m a photographer, content creator, and the eye behind @opticalmd. Based in Boston, I’ve spent the past nine years capturing the soul of the city I grew up in; with its changing skies, iconic landmarks, and everyday scenes that tell a bigger story.
Before photography became my full-time focus, I served ten years in the U.S. Marine Corps. That chapter of my life shaped my discipline, drive, and how I see the world. When I returned to Boston, I picked up my camera with a new perspective and a deeper purpose.
These days, I split my time between exploring Boston with my Fuji X100VI or Sony A7RIII and sharing that journey through visuals on social media. Whether it’s early morning fog rolling over the Zakim Bridge, golden hour at the Public Garden, or reflections on rain-soaked city streets, I aim to capture images that feel timeless and true.
